The post-apocalyptic comedy anime series ‘Nyaight of the Living Cat’ is set to debut on Crunchyroll, with its premiere on July 6. This adaptation of the manga by Hawkman and Mecha-Roots is produced by OLM and directed by Tomohiro Kamitani. Esteemed filmmaker Takashi Miike serves as the executive director. New episodes will be available for streaming every Sunday in North America and other global regions where Crunchyroll is accessible. Sony Pictures Entertainment is overseeing distribution in Japan and parts of Asia. The series, which humorously depicts a world overrun by cats due to a global ‘nyandemic’, will also feature at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal. An advance screening is set for Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 3.
