Alison Brie has been cast as the lead in FX’s upcoming pilot ‘Witness Protection,’ crafted by Hannah Fidell and Gina Welch. The narrative centers on a high-end DC madame, played by Brie, who enters witness protection in Maine with her daughter following a violent altercation. Originally announced in March 2023, the pilot is a contemporary spin on an unproduced script by David Chase; his involvement ceased due to scheduling conflicts. Fidell and Welch are penning and executive producing the project, with Fidell directing. Nicole Lambert is also an executive producer, with FX Productions handling the production. Brie, known for her roles in ‘Mad Men’ and ‘GLOW’, brings significant experience to this new drama exploration.
