The Nacelle Company is set to revive ‘Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa’ as a new animated series, based on the ’90s cult favorite. Announced ahead of San Diego Comic-Con 2025, this is part of Nacelle’s plans to create the ‘NacelleVerse’, a shared universe for reimagined toy and animation hits.
Originally introduced in 1991 by ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ artist Ryan Brown, ‘C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa’ inspired a variety of products and entertainment including a toy line and an ABC Saturday morning cartoon. The Nacelle Company is set to premiere a new series in 2027, along with fresh toys and comics, linking it with other reboots like ‘RoboForce’ and ‘Biker Mice From Mars’.
The series will consist of eight episodes, featuring the original’s bovine lawmakers set in the 1800s. Characters like Marshal Moo Montana, Cowlorado Kid, and Dakota Dude will face off against villains such as Mayor Oscar Bulloney and Sheriff Terrorbull, with appearances from other original characters like Cowlamity Kate, Lily Bovine, and Cody Calf.
