Netflix has unveiled a fresh teaser trailer for Stefano Sollima
’s four-part Italian crime drama The
Monster of Florence as well
as an October 22 launch date to tie in with the 10th anniversary of the
platform’s arrival in Italy .
Created by Leonardo Fasoli and Sollima, who previously collaborated on organized
crime drama Gomorrah, the drama recounts one of Italy’s longest and most complex

Active in the province of Florence between the late 1960s and 1985, the serial
killer murdered 16 people, often young couples attacked in secluded wooded
areas.
Tapping into ongoing legal proceedings and investigations, the story explores
the many possible monsters investigated over time and also focuses on their
point of view.

– a Fremantle company – and AlterEgo,
is produced by Lorenzo Mieli, Sollima and Gina Gardini. It stars Marco Bullitta,
Valentino Mannias, Francesca Olia, Liliana Bottone, Giacomo Fadda, Antonio
Tintis and Giordano Mannu.
